True Airspeed by WingmanAbout
Pilot theory for EASA, FAA and DGCA exams

Your whole pilot journey, in one place.

From the first medical to the airline, step by step, for EASA, FAA and DGCA. We start where most students get stuck: the theory exams, taught in 3D.

Written and checked by an A320 line training captain.

Free lesson TG-1.1, step 2: the ISA at mean sea level.

01 The problem

Sound familiar?

  1. No clear routeYou don't know where to start, which paper comes first, or what comes after it.
  2. Dense booksThe books are thick and dry. It is hard to picture how a system actually works.
  3. Ready or not?You study for months and still can't tell if you would pass the exam tomorrow.
  4. Coaching costGood coaching costs a lot, or there is none near you.

We fix that: one clear route, theory you can picture, and an honest answer to whether you are ready.

02 The solution

See the route. Understand the theory. Know when you are ready.

Theory in 3D

See how it works

3D frame of an airliner at 6,000 ft. Tags show ISA plus 3 °C and actual plus 13 °C. The panel works out the deviation: ISA plus 10.
TG-1.1, step 4: working out ISA deviation at 6,000 ft.

Short 3D steps, each with its numbers worked out. 23 lessons are live, with more every week.

06 Questions

Is it for my regulator?

We write for EASA, FAA and DGCA exams. Today the Technical General course is mapped to the DGCA syllabus. EASA and FAA mapping is in progress, and we show coverage for each subject only once the mapping is done.

Is it official?

No. True Airspeed is an independent study product. It is not approved or accredited by EASA, the FAA or the DGCA. Always check your regulator's current rules.

Who writes it?

An A320 line training captain writes and checks every lesson and question. Every question is in our own words and checked against a source. We never copy another publisher's questions.

How do you check accuracy?

Every number and statement is checked against a cited source before a student sees it. Each answer shows its source, so you can check it yourself.

Can I use it with my flying school?

Yes. It is self-study, so it sits next to your school or ATO course. It does not replace your school's training.

What does it cost?

The Daily Checkride and the free lesson cost nothing, and need no card. The full course will be paid. The price is not set yet. Join free and we tell you first.

Do I need to sign up to try it?

No. The Daily Checkride and the free lesson work without an account. Join with your email to hear when new subjects open.
